Ron Sexton: Indianapolis – Officials of The Bob and Tom Show have confirmed the demise of 52-year-old Ron Sexton, also known as “Donnie Baker,” who was a long-time artist and comedian. He passed away on Friday during his stand-up comedy show.
He resided in Tampa, Florida.
Sexton was known to millions of listeners for his humorous characters portrayed on-air, including Donnie Baker, Kenny Tarmac, Floyd the Truck Driver, and various spot-on celebrity impersonations.
The comedian had made headlines in January when a supposed violent incident occurred outside an Indianapolis bar after wrapping up a performance in Portland, Indiana. Court documents revealed that Sexton informed the police that the shooter was the husband of a woman with whom he had a relationship. The man is accused of attempted murder and illegal possession of a handgun.
Sexton was a highly cherished colleague and friend. The show released a statement on Facebook confirming his passing. As of Saturday morning, the official cause of death has not been disclosed.
