When Governor Phil Murphy left the state to celebrate his holiday in Europe on July 28, Lieutenant Governor Sheila Oliver stepped in to handle his liabilities.

According to the New Jersey State Constitution’s guidelines, in this situation, the President of the State Senate, Nik Scurtari, will serve as the Acting Governor until Murphy returns from his holiday in Italy.
