Rumors have it that Apple will host its grand iPhone 15 launch event on September 13. According to a report by 9To5Mac, mobile carriers are advising their employees to stay free from any prior commitments on September 13, hinting at a significant smartphone announcement that day. Also, considering Apple’s tradition of hosting its fall launch events in September, there’s a good chance the company will stick to this trend. Reportedly, all iPhone 15 variants will come with the Dynamic Island feature, indicating that you can expect a punch-hole display on all 2023 iPhones. The Pro and Pro Max displays will supposedly incorporate a new technique: low-injection pressure over-molding, or “LIPO,” as it’s internally referred to by Apple.

This new process will reduce the size of the borders around the display by 1.5 millimeters. This will make the device’s borders thinner, increasing the display’s size. Apple is also planning to bring this feature to iPads eventually.

iPhones have been using the Lightning charger since 2012. However, according to Bloomberg, the upcoming iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models are ready to adopt USB-C charging.

This change allows for a universal charger that optimizes your device’s charging. While it provides rapid data transfer for cable-sync users, some might view this change as a potential expenditure. Particularly, it’s said that the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max versions will adopt titanium edges, which could contribute to a lighter experience.

While iPhone 15 and 15 Plus models might retain a similar appearance to current models, significant camera enhancements and the addition of the A16 chip from the iPhone 14 Pro line are possible. The Pro models might transition to a faster 3-nanometer chip, which would be Apple’s Bionic A17 SoC.

There’s a rumor that the standard iPhone 15 variant will feature rear cameras similar to the 48-megapixel cameras of the iPhone 14 Pro series.

This improvement is significant compared to the 12-megapixel sensors seen in previous iPhone iterations. Additionally, the Pro Max iteration might sport a larger camera module housing a periscope lens in the reiteration, enabling powerful 5-6x optical zoom capabilities and combining it with other sensors.

Moreover, the physical mute switch, a familiar feature on iPhones for years, will be replaced by a new and programmable “Action Button.” According to details revealed in the latest iOS beta version, this new feature will allow you to control silent mode functionality, the torch, focus mode, the Translate app, magnifier on the iPhone’s camera app, and much more.

Leaked iPhone 15 Series Prices

In recent leaks, it’s claimed that both the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models will be priced at existing rates. If this holds true, the prices for these devices could be: ₹79,900 and ₹89,900 respectively.

It’s rumored that the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models won’t be available at the existing prices. The iPhone 15 Pro is said to be priced at $1,099, which is higher than last year’s model that was priced above $999. Thus, Apple might launch the Pro model in India at ₹1,39,900, since the company generally equates each dollar to 100 rupees.

Similarly, the iPhone 15 Pro Max could be launched at $1,299, exceeding last year’s model priced above $1,099. The new Pro Max model from Apple might be unveiled in India for $1,59,900.

However, these prices are not yet official, so users should wait for a few more weeks to know more about the prices. Apple is likely to unveil its latest event this year in September. The official dates for Apple’s event haven’t been announced yet.
